Do we even care about it listening to the latest reproduction of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and making vacation plans on a latest Stan-grad designed app?
Just as China seemed to have lost trade war to America, it managed to spark a new one. WWI and WWII were wars over resources. The ongoing WWIII is a war over our basic human freedoms. This time it’s each and every one of us who hold the keys to the coming century.
Designer babies and genes alteration are slowly becoming a norm. Why would you risk having a bouquet of inherited diseases if you can just shuffle through millions of spermatozoids and find an infallible winner?
Politics is money. And big politics is very big money. Those who decide the tide of events and give orders are akin to entrepreneurs taking all the risk in hope of a huge return. The rest of us are mere employees, who fight and die for the ambitions of people giving orders (and hopefully for some money as well). However, if it comes to being a mere employee, I’d rather work somewhere I can earn a decent living and not risk being killed for a cause I care little about.
We want to enjoy our success and be able to show it to the others, just like the rich of the world are not afraid of showing off their achievements to the world. But how do you aspire for success and happiness when pretty much all you can do is already being done by the robot, who is owned by X&Co?
