Equally, they might prove the only viable way to destabilise the opposing force without the need to resort to the weapons of mass destruction.

We live in "modern advanced societies" where your place of birth and the color of your skin still defines your fate. Technology will give us an alternative.

The reason we are mesmerized by the Joker character, however, has nothing to do with his Fleck syndrome, childhood drama or violence outbursts. We cheer for him and we feel for him because we all can see ourselves in this ostracized social freak.

Designer babies and genes alteration are slowly becoming a norm. Why would you risk having a bouquet of inherited diseases if you can just shuffle through millions of spermatozoids and find an infallible winner?

If AI looked to play God's role in handpicking certain individuals to keep alive, it will be guided by rationale which we, as humans, would find incomprehensible. Would AI decide to preserve the most intelligent representatives of the human nation? Would those be scientists and innovators? Would AI want to preserve the richest and most successful representatives of Capitalistic systems, like Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos? Or would AI be looking to preserve the peculiarities of human nature, such as serial killers, dictators, pedophiles, crypto scammers and schizophrenics? It might be all of those or none of those, since we would have no insight into the black box of Superintelligence’s cognition.
